Cary J. Shoemaker, 59 of Pigeon Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Cary was born to Wayne and Sharon (Koenig) Shoemaker on January 17, 1959 in North Dakota. Cary was a very talented man. He was skilled in woodworking, knife making, drawing and many other things. He loved fishing, playing pool, working on his trike with his late father and continued “touching it up” until the day he passed. He was loved by many, had a kind soul that didn’t discriminate and always helped those who needed it.

Cary is survived by his daughter Stephanie Komro; brothers: Dana Shoemaker, Wade Shoemaker, Eric (Ronnie) Shoemaker, Sean Shoemaker and Scot Shoemaker; and sisters Vicki (Rik) Stockey and Edie Bare. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cary was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Sharon, and a sister-in-law Kim Shoemaker.

A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until time of service. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.

  1. I wanted to send my deapest sympathy to Cary’s family. I met Cary in the 6th grade he was so funny and kind to a new girl. He was very special and I will remember him with love and laughter. I only wish that I had stayed in touch. So nice to know what a wonderful man, father he was. Treasure your memories ❤️
