Clarence L. McCann, 89 of Mondovi passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Clarence was born on March 29, 1925 to Clarence and Mabel (Eastenson) McCann in Eau Claire County. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Bonnie Berg in 1947 and they later had three children. After Clarence and Bonnie parted ways, Clarence married Patricia Goss on April 22, 1977 in Chippewa Falls. Clarence worked at Uniroyal for over 30 years. His passions were fishing, hunting, gardening, and all of his pets.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Patricia McCann of Mondovi; two children, Mark (Cindy) McCann of Avon Park, FL, and Brenda (Greg) Halverson of Altoona; three step-children, Wes (Mary) Wibel of Menomonie, Mark (Tammy) Wibel of Eau Claire, and Vicki (Ron) Hedrington of Chippewa Falls; four grandchildren, Lisa McCann of Woodbury, MN, Laurie (Britt) Crowell of Woodbury, MN, Zachery Halverson of Altoona, and Hunter Halverson of Altoona; step-grandchildren, Jenny, Cody, Amanda, Alexis, and Kayla; two great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; three brothers, Marshall, Aaron, and Wayne; three sisters, May, Mabel, and Delores; his dog, Pilo; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Clarence was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda of Altoona; step-grandson, Scott; three brothers, Millard, Alfred, and Gerald; one sister, Gladys; and two dogs, Maggie and Charlie.
Memorial services will be on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 5:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery at a later date.
