Cynthia Ann Provo, Always known as “Cindy”, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023 of lung cancer, under
the care of St. Croix Hospice. She was 64 years, 3 months and 1 week old.
Cynthia was born on February 16, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls to Lawrence “Larry”
and Delores “Dory” (Schwab) Provo. Cindy attended Chestnut Grade School, Chippewa Junior High, and
graduated from Chi-Hi in 1977. Cindy went to CVTC and received a Vocational Diploma in Clerk-Typist
Field. While she did office work for a few years, Cindy found herself enjoying fast food restaurant more,
especially working the drive-thru.
Cindy is survived by her sister, Tammy and brother-in-law, Wayne Franson; Children, Ashley (Christopher)
Kolf and Andrew Provo; her two grand-daughters; and her beloved dog, Snickers, a.k.a. “Meathead”.
She was preceded in death by her Mom on September 14, 1995 and her dad on April 10, 1998. Also
preceding her were all of her Grandparents and her heart dog, the Malamute/German Shepard mix
Ember.
Per Cindy’s wishes, there will not be any services. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
