Dorothy E. Scheidler, 88 of Eau Claire, died on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Dorothy was born in 1928 to George and Ellen Jackson of rural Boyd Wisconsin, one of nine children. After attending high school in Boyd, Dorothy married Anthony (Tony) Scheidler in 1949, they eventually settled in Eau Claire. While living in Eau Claire, she was employed at Uniroyal tire factory for 25 years, a member of Sacred Heart Church, a volunteer at Luther Hospital, and City elections polls. Dorothy enjoyed her card clubs, traveling with her sisters, taking care of her four grandchildren, her home in Eau Claire and following the Green Bay Packers.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Steven (Christine) Scheidler of Amery, WI; grandchildren, Gretchen Scheidler of Marina Del Rey, CA, Jill Scheidler of Madison, WI, Stephanie (Andy) Anderson of Madison, WI, and Molly Scheidler of Denver, CO; and brother, Harold “Joe” Jackson of Boyd, WI.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Scheidler; and siblings, Margaret Lucas of Cadott, Mayme Bourget of Boyd, WI, Helen Thompson of Chippewa Falls, Catherine Johnson of Chippewa Falls, Donald Jackson of Boyd, WI, Robert Jackson of Boyd, WI, and Kenneth Jackson of Duluth, MN.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 418 N. Dewey Street, Eau Claire, WI. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will follow the services at Prairie View Cemetery in Chippewa Falls, WI.
