  4. I’m saddened to learn of Erv’s passing. Condolences to his family. Erv was my professor freshman year at UWEC. He was kind and also a breath of fresh air in what was often an otherwise stodgy environment. I enjoyed his humor and wit.

  5. Deepest sorrow-lots of good times-he will be missed by us-Can’t make the service due to prior comitment. Kris-will talk to you after the dust settles.

  6. Bob and I send our condolences to the Steiner family on Erv’s passing. We were colleagues of his for over 30 years. I also was a student in his business law class. Erv was an excellent teacher—his stories helped me and other students understand the complexities of contract law. Little wonder that he was the recipient of the university’s Excellence in Teaching award. He played an important role in the life of our students.

  7. Kris and Family, So sorry to hear about Erv’s passing. I always enjoyed talking to him over the years when you were on my FedEx route. My brother Greg also sends his condolences. Greg and Erv went way, way back when Greg attended UWEC in the early 70″s. God bless…..

  8. My sincere love and condolences to the Steiner family and friends. I am a co-worker and friend to Michelle, a wonderful person of character. I’m sure Michelle inherited so much from her dad, just by knowing her and reading about his life, what he’s accomplished and the wonderful comments here by many, I feel as though I knew him too. I can only imagine the loss each of you feel. As you take each moment, each day and each memory going forward, my prayers for peace and comfort are with all of you.

  9. I’m so sad to hear of his passing! Erv was my business law professor who then hired me to work for him and Kris off campus for their seminar company. We had a lot of good times there! When I graduated and needed a place to live, they rented to me — basically for free. I have many good memories of his humor and laughs, including betting on the turtle races at Houligan’s! He will be sorely missed at UWEC and in our community.

  10. Kris,

I was so sorry to read about Erv’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
May your memories of all the good times you had together help you in this difficult time. I was out of town and couldn’t make the service.

  11. Kris and Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Erv’s passing. Kris, I am not sure if you remember me, but we used to bowl on league together more than a few years ago. Thoughts of you and your family are in my prayers.
