Gary L. Myher Jr., 47 of Ettrick passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018.
Gary was born to Gary L. and Irene (Hertz) Myher Sr. on October 19, 1971 in Beloit. He graduated from La Sierra High School in Riverside, California in 1989. Gary was a collector of coins, rocks, knives, and antique fishing gear. Gary loved rock hunting in the desert and panning for gold in the Kern River. He enjoyed farming, wood working, hunting, and ocean fishing. Gary had a green ‘68 Mustang that was very special to him. He was very kind hearted and could get anyone to laugh with his great sense of humor and quick wit. Wherever he went, Gary displayed love and happiness to others.
Gary is survived by his parents Gary L. and Irene Myher Sr. of Murray, KY; brother Steve Hertz of Alma Center; and sister Alaine (Brian) Pitt of Portland, TN. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Art and Lorraine Myher, maternal grandparents William Hertz and Marie Hills, five uncles, aunt, and cousin.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 11:00 – 3:00 pm at the Sherwood Forest Event Center in Blair, WI. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com and on Gary’s Facebook page.
I’m so sorry for your loss of such a great guy. I got to know Gary when I worked at TRW for 3 years. He was a great guy and will be forever missed. Thinking of you all during this time
