Joseph Arthur Bronner, 69, of Eau Claire passed on to eternal life Thursday May 19th, with family at his side. Joseph was born December 22nd, 1952, to Norbert and EllaMay (Cain) Bronner. He was raised in Juneau, WI, making many memories and friends until graduation from Dodgeland High school in 1971. Joe then attended college in LaCrosse, WI. He later went on to become employed by the state of Wisconsin for 27 years.

Joe was a proud man who worked hard to support his family. Joe met and then married his wife Wanda in 1984, all together sharing 40+ wonderful years. They had four children, Richard, Stacy, Joey, and Ryan. All were raised in Eau Claire. Joe was a sportsman. He was well known for his wrestling accomplishments in high school, something he was often caught talking about. Along with playing shotput and softball in college, he also placed all of his kids in softball as well. He loved the Brewers, and we all knew his favorite football teams were the Badgers and the Packers! His recliner will never be the same on game days. Joe could also be found watching NASCAR as he would often attend local racing events with his kids and grandkids. Joe loved all of his children and grandchildren equally and being with them were his happiest times. He loved solitary, he loved his walks, and he loved his occasional stogie. Joe just simply loved. We have truly lost one of the humblest men God has ever placed on this earth. His absence will be greatly felt.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Wanda Bronner; sons, Richard Dierking, Joseph Jr (Tasha) Bronner, and Ryan (MaiChoua) Bronner; daughters, Stacy (Jason) Keeran and Lacey Anger; brother, Steve (Kathy) Bronner; sister, Judy Bronner; grandchildren, Tyler, Kody, Addisen, Amelia, Emmett, Zyahnna, Christopher (Erin), Kayla (Slade), Travis (Megan) Abbey (Colton) Amelia, Braden as well as great-grandchildren.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kris Bronner; and daughter, Rhonda Collins-Hess.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

  1. So sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. I was just thinking last week about our EC family. Wondered how it was going. Hugs and Prayers to you all. I will join via Zoom as We don’t attend in person because of COVID. I have had it 2 times and had to get Anti bodies.

Bless you all and Hugs too. Please pass on to your Mom Wanda.
    Lori and O.

  2. My thoughts are with you all! Your dad/husband was a great guy and I know you will all miss him a lot. I sure will miss seeing him when I stop by and he offers to put something on the grill even if he would tend to over cook it and then him and I would laugh and eat it anyway. He was a quite gentle man and loved his family very much!!! Love to all of you at this very difficult time.
