Joseph “Joe” R. Yarolimek, 93 of Eau Claire, formerly of Wabasha, MN passed away on February 1, 2019.

Joe was born to Frank and Florence (Hitchcock) Yarolimek on July 26, 1925 in Minnesota. He had many jobs over the years. Joe wore many hats but was prouder of his military service in the Navy aboard the USS Anthony during World War II. He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, rock hunting, fishing, hunting, trapping and was a great painter.

Joe is survived by his wife of 33 years Janet “Jan” (Best); first wife Ardyth (Loomis); step daughters: Joanne (Mike) Lane and Becky (Tony) Bauer; 8 step-grandchildren; 2 step great-grandchildren; brother Donald Yarolimek. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Dane, and sister Bereith “Bee” Loechler, and brother-in-law Vince Loechler.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Robert Hoekstra officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
