Kenneth J. Reif, 62 of Eau Claire passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Bloomer.

Ken was born on June 5, 1956 to Harry and Jeanne (Gilbert) Reif in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After high school, Ken served in the United States Marine Corps for three years. He married Patricia Blandin on October 16, 1993 in Mondovi, Wisconsin. Ken loved playing bingo and called bingo for numerous bingo halls for many years. He played cards at the senior center and enjoyed the comradery. Ken was an avid fisherman before his health began to fail.

Ken is survived by his wife, Patricia Reif; step-children, Misty Hite (Kerry Wooley) and George (Sarah) Hite; step-grandchildren, Terez, Josef, and Jasper Hite; parents, Harry and Jeanne Reif; brother, James (Mary) Reif; close great-niece, Tyonna Burkhart; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mayo Clinic Health Systems- Home Health & Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Ken.

Memorial services will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jamie Staples officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.

  1. Pat, my sincere sympathy on Ken’s passing. It was a privilege to bring you Holy Communion and visit. I only knew Ken a short time but will remember his warm smile, even when he was so tired.   2. We are saddened to see that Ken has passed. I (Alan) grew up with Ken and he was a dear friend. I had not seen him in a long time, but thought of him often.
    Lauriejean says he had such a charming smile, very heartwarming eyes, and in silence spoke loudly with his heart.
