Norman R. Henning, 92 of Eau Claire went to his Eternal Home on Friday, September 22, 2017 in Chippewa Falls.

Norman was born on February 19, 1925 to Richard and Marie (Pape) Henning in the township of Clear Creek, Wisconsin.  He served in the U.S. Army in Korea where he earned five Bronze Stars and the rank of Sergeant.  When he retired from his concrete construction company he became a master gardener of organic vegetables.

Norman is survived by his wife, Elmie; sons, Dan and Wayne (Rhonda); daughters, Linda, Kim and Angel Henning; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Elaine Kensmoe, Roger (Joanne) Henning, and Katy Henning.   

Norman was preceded in death by his son, James; grandson, Joseph; siblings, Leona (Bill) Hagedorn, and Leonard and Melford Kensmoe.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.  Visitation will be an hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at 2:00 pm at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Cleghorn.

  1. So sorry to read about Norm’s passing. My dad was Arvid Tumm, and my Grandma was Marie’s sister Tracy, who was married to Rob Tumm. My dad passed away a few years ago now, but I know he always felt close to Marie’s family. You
    have our sincere sympathy. God bless you all.

  2. So very sorry to hear of Norm’s passing. He was such a good man. I’m sure that he, Dad (Larry Provo), Kenny Ford & Breezy Bresina are now enjoying a either a fishing trip or a bull session. You are in our thoughts & prayers.
