Ronald Bothwell, 70, first met Jesus Christ on June 26, 1980 when he trusted Jesus as his Saviour.  On February 25, 2017 Ron met Christ face to face and graduated to his eternal home with his Lord.

Ron was born on September 17, 1946 in Pisgah, Iowa to Harry and Ida Bothwell.  He worked diligently to provide for his family as a journeyman electrician for 40 years.  In addition, he recently enjoyed driving school bus for Student Transit in Eau Claire.  Ron was an active member of Bible Baptist Church in Eau Claire and previously a member of Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa.  His favorite pastime and ministry was sharing his faith in the Lord Jesus.  He loved to tell others how the Lord had abundantly changed his life for good.  Young people and teens were particularly special to him.

  1. Dear Connie & Kids: I am so sorry to learn of Ron’s passing. Not because it is a bad thing for Ron, because he is now with God, but rather I am sorry for you and the grief that losing your loved one entails. Of course I know that you know what the bible says, ie: that we should not grieve as those do who do not have the hope of eternal life, because they are not saved. But still it makes even us Christians sad to lose our loved ones. It’s been a long time since I have seen any of you when we all used to attend Cedar Rapids Baptist Church together in the late 90’s & early 2000’s. I always thought highly of Ron and all of you. I pray that God comforts you, now and always, and I know He will. Amen.
