William Mauhar

William (Bill) Mauhar of Eau Claire, WI passed away on Sunday, August 23rd, 2015 at Dove Healthcare – West in Eau Claire. He recently celebrated his 95th birthday.

Bill was born and raised in Black River Falls, WI. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific during World War II with the Air Corps. He worked for Uniroyal in Eau Claire for 30 years before retiring in 1982. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his two sons, Steven (Nancy) and Douglas (Deborah); five grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his older sister Mary.

Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 418 N. Dewey Street, Eau Claire, WI at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015 with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery with VFW Post 305 performing military honors.
