Obituary For Carolyn Sue Revak
Carolyn Sue Revak, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her home in Eau Claire, WI, surrounded by family.
She was born to Marvin E. and Edith L. (Carlson) Nelson on Aug 12, 1949, in Ladysmith, WI. She lived with her family on a small farm just outside of Ladysmith until the age of 11, when the family moved to Tony, WI.
After graduating from Flambeau High School, she resided briefly in Chicago, IL, then moved to Eau Claire, WI and attended CVTC where she earned her associate degree. She married Ronald Revak on September 2, 1972, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Conrath, WI.
Carolyn and Ron made Eau Claire their home, raising their kids there and becoming active members of St. James the Greater Church. Carolyn was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing piano and was also an avid dog lover. She was an exceptionally caring person towards all, and this was exemplified within the various roles she held during her working years that were largely centered around providing care and support for children, adults with special needs, and seniors.
She will be deeply missed, and her family will remember with fondness trips to the Lake Lot and camping at Coon Fork. Her husband, Ron, will remember working together in their gardens and spending time on their deck together enjoying all the birds and beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Edith Nelson; her stepmother, Lottie (Prokop) Nelson; and her sister, Marcia Lynn Nelson; and many beloved pets. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Revak; her children, Ryan (Andra) Revak, Emily Revak, and Joel (Kelly) Revak; and grandchildren, Ayla Revak, Braden Revak and Bryan Revak. She is further survived by her sister, Margaret Nelson; and brother, David Nelson; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and Boston terriers, Jelly, and Tuuli.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff and nurses at St. Croix Hospice.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. James the Greater Church at 11:00 am with Fr. Tom Krieg officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
