It is with profound heartache and sadness I announce the passing of my mother Cynthia (Cindy) J. Michel (Mangus), 68, of Lake Hallie on August 3rd, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems- Eau Claire

Cindy was born November 18th, 1956, to Theodore and Margaret Mangus of Norfolk, Virginia. In her beginning years, Cindy enjoyed spending time at the baseball fields, swimming in Chesapeake Bay, taking weekly Sunday drives to Virginia Beach and rooting for the Green Bay Packers.

Cindy graduated from Norview High School in 1975. Then graduated from Old Dominion University in 1977. Cindy found her true professional calling in Dental assisting, where she took pride in making sure each and every patient became a friend and was comfortable in the dental chair until she retired after 41 years in 2016.

Cindy married the love of life Jeff Michel in 1980. They moved to Wisconsin in the spring of 1981 and started a family with 2 children, Joshua and Jessica, in Lake Hallie. Cindy enjoyed spending time with family related or not, chatting with friends, bowling, watching the Chicago Cubs, and she especially lived for football season to watch her beloved Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Michel of Eau Claire; brother, Richard Mangus of Norfolk, VA; father-in-law, Richard Michel of Mellen; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, including Stephanie Best and her children, Andy Wypij and Ryan Wypij of Eau Claire, with whom she shared a special bond; and a very large number of friends whom she made family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Margaret Mangus; mother-in-law, Dolores Michel; and her beloved husband, Jeff Michel, and cherished son, Josh Michel.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at 1430 W Northstar Ln, Eau Claire from 1pm-5pm.
