Dawn Marie Wendt, 63, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.

Dawn was born on February 23, 1961, to LeRoy and Ardella (Olson) Rudy in Wisconsin. She graduated from Gilmanton High School in 1980. Dawn loved angels and collected them. She also enjoyed adult coloring books, fishing, shopping, and attending demolition derbies. She worked as a dietary aide at Sacred Heart Hospital and various care facilities in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Altoona. She had recently retired.

Dawn is survived by her daughter, Jessy (late Pat) Suckow, Eau Claire; grandchildren, Jadyn and Jordyn Suckow of Eau Claire, Kayla Brantner of Eau Claire, and Domanick Abrams; great-grandchildren, Tapenga and Faith Brantner of Eau Claire, and Tucker and Raelynn Abrams; brothers, Richard (Wendy) Rudy of Whitehall, Michael (Mike) Rudy of Arcadia, Scott (late Laura) Rudy of Huntsville Alabama, Randy Rudy of Whitehall, and Virgil Rudy of Arcadia; and nephews, Cody Rudy, Chad (Lisa) Rudy, Casey Laehn, and Ashton and Alex Rudy.

Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Wendt; parents, LeRoy and Ardella Rudy; and brothers, Merlin and Jeffery (Jeff) Rudy.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Seymour Town Hall (6500 Tower Drive, Eau Claire).
