Joan C. Froehlich, 81, of Eau Claire passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.

Joan was born on September 25, 1944, to Harris and Arlene (Huber) Schreiner in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was dedicated to her family. Joan worked for many years at Jimmy Woo’s, Hong Kong House, and Syverson Nursing Home. She was small but mighty. Joan enjoyed gardening from spring until fall, shopping at Hobby Lobby and T.J. Maxx, and spending Sunday mornings watching church.

Joan is survived by her children, Kimberley Johnson and Patrick “Butch” (Angie) Johnson; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Judy Jungers and Shirley O’Keefe. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Froehlich; daughter, Tammy Johnson; son, Dick Johnson; parents, Harris and Arlene Schreiner; siblings, Dick Schreiner and Gene Schreiner.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:00 am at Smith Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Tuesday. An inurnment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery following the service. Friends
