Obituary For Margaret A. Crogg
Margaret A. Crogg, 90 of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Orchard Hills of Eau Claire surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was a kind, affectionate, and caring woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time outdoors, especially tending to her garden and enjoying nature. More than anything, Margaret cherished being around people. She had a warm spirit, loved giving hugs, and treasured every moment spent with family and friends.
A talented knitter, crafter, and seamstress, Margaret enjoyed creating handmade gifts, special keepsakes, and grandchildren’s clothing for those she loved. Her thoughtfulness and generosity could be seen in everything she made and shared with her family.
Margaret also enjoyed traveling with her husband, Del, and looked forward to spending winters in Mazatlán, Mexico with her husband, Tony.
Margaret’s love, warmth, and gentle presence touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her entire family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
Margaret’s Catholic faith was important to her in her daily life.
Margaret is survived by her children, John (Diane) Shope Jr. and Sandy Brinker; grandchildren, Ben (Molly) Shope, Greg Shope, Eric Brinker, Kayla (Terry) Roshell, Jarred (Angie) Brinker, and Krystal Brinker (Justin Christenson); great-grandchildren, Lexi, Ellie, Neveah, Faith, Grace, Colton, Halen, and Dawson; step-children, Diane Schuknecht and Denise Regstad; step-grandchildren, John (Julia ), Megan, Luba, Alex, and Abby; and step-great-grandchild, Zidane; sister, Rosemary Kovar; and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John Shope Sr.; husband, Del Crogg; husband, Tony Dasgupta; siblings, Roy, Donald, Agnes, and Barb; and son-in-law, Tom Brinker; and granddaughter-in-law, Erin Brinker.
A funeral service will be on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 12:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery following the service.
