Dennis C. Belden, 75, of Eau Claire passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Care Partners Memory Care in Eau Claire.
Dennis was born on April 9, 1950, to Kenneth and Evelyn (Kumferman) Belden in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1968 from Memorial High School. He married Sherrie Smith from Janesville, Wisconsin in December 1974 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Dennis had several occupations, but he particularly enjoyed his janitorial service that he provided in Eau Claire for almost 50 years. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses he enjoyed sharing the deep knowledge he had of the Bible with family, friends in the congregation, and people he met through door-to-door ministry. Another joy of Dennis’s was taking his son and grandsons to the lake in one of his many boats.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Sherrie Belden of Eau Claire; son, Nathan C. Belden of Eau Claire; grandsons, Braden Belden and Khail Belden of Eau Claire; siblings, Randy (Patti) Belden, Marlene Buxton, Darlene (Michael) Lucas, Mike (Lisa) Belden, and Susan (Jeff) Larsen; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother and father; brother, Kenneth Belden; brother-in-law, John Buxton.
No services will be held at this time.

To the dear Belden family, My heart goes out to you during this difficult moment. Even when a life has been full of loyal service, love for family, and years of faithfulness, the emptiness that follows a loss can feel overwhelming. Yet Jehovah, the God who "heals the brokenhearted" and "binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3), draws especially close to you now. He knows every memory you shared with Brother Belden, every quiet act of love he offered, and every way his steady faith strengthened those around him. Reading about his life, it is clear that his devotion to Jehovah shaped everything he did—from the way he shared Scriptural truths with anyone willing to listen, to the way he cared for his family and found joy in simple, wholesome moments with his son and grandsons. A life spent in such service is never forgotten by the One who "is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name" (Hebrews 6:10). What an anchor that assurance is—Jehovah remembers every faithful step Brother Belden took. Though grief may feel heavy today, Jehovah gently lifts our eyes toward the future. Jesus' promise that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29) gives us a steady hope. You will see Brother Belden again—not in frailty, but healthy, peaceful, and free from all the limitations that touched his later years. Jehovah has already pictured that moment; he longs for it as deeply as you do. Until then, He will continue to be your place of comfort, strength, and rest. Please know that many of us are keeping your family in our prayers. May Jehovah's tender care surround you, steady you, and remind you every single day that you are not walking through this alone. With warm Christian love, Kevin Guillory, Jr.

Sherri, We were so saddened to read about Dennis's passing. The years have flown by yet I remember very clearly the day we met. I was visiting my mother and you came to the door offering the Truth Book and free Bible studies and I said yes! Had the joy of you and Dennis's friendship turn into love and marriage and eventually your son Nathan. Dennis was quiet and soft spoken and the best smile. I would have called you Sherri but no success in finding a number. I wanted you to know we are thinking and your son and his family too. Take care of yourself. Love,Eileen Felix
