Obituary For Alexander Scott Albrecht

Alexander “Alex” S. Albrecht, 33, of Augusta passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Alex was born on March 12, 1991, to Rory and Rhonda (Rene) Albrecht in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He graduated from Cadott High School in 2009. After high school he received some post graduate education and worked for Bush Brothers. At the time of his passing, he worked for Huebsch. Alex found a home at Huebsch. He gained a new family that he treasured working with and loved the relationships he built with customers.

Alex had a heart as big as the Wisconsin Sky. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or just a short time, his ability to make you feel valued, heard and cared for was remarkable. He was a huge support for others and could brighten even the darkest of days. Alex could have a conversation about anything and would share in your interests even if he knew nothing about the subject. He was always excited to do whatever anyone else wanted to do. He was known for his big bear hugs and infectious laugh. It is clear to anyone who knew Alex that his family was the center of his world. The bond he shared with his family is something to be admired, especially his immense love for his mom and his sister. He enjoyed his lunch dates with grandma and grandpa, family events and people were always happy to see his car pull in the driveway. He stayed connected with lifelong friends across the states and built an online family through his gaming. He loved gaming, his dogs, playing Euchre, and being known as the master smoker at cookouts. The void he leaves behind is a reminder of the incredible impact one person can have. While we will forever mourn his loss, we will also celebrate his life, for he truly was a gift to all that knew him.

Alex is survived by his dad, Rory Albrecht; sister, Aurora (Chase) Becker; step father, Shannon Poirier; maternal grandparents, Susan and Elwood Rene; paternal grandma, Barbara Albrecht; step siblings, Shane Poirier, Dustin Poirier, and Dakota Poirier; aunts and uncles, Cindy (Glenn) Green, Cathy (John) Cravey, Ray (Vickie) Albrecht, Randy Albrecht, Scott (Shawna) Rene, and Tanya Gilles; cousins, Joshua Semanko, Jacob (Heidi) Semanko, Jordan Semanko, Nathan (Sarah) Cravey, Erin Cravey, Andrew Rene, and Megan (Travis) Sand; nieces and nephews, Madison (Logan) Gilles, Liam Becker, and a great nephew he didn’t get to meet, Markus Gilles; and many extended family, friends, and co-workers that felt like family and he deeply cared for all.

Alex was preceded in death by his mother, Rhonda Poirier; paternal grandfather, Victor A. Albrecht; stepsister, Makeisha A. Poirier; and cousin, Jamie Semanko.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Stokes, Prock, and Mundt Funeral Chapel. A visitation will begin three hours prior to the service.

I only knew Alex from his work with Huebsch. He came in a couple times a month to change out our rugs. We always talked about something when he was here. He was funny & always smiled. He was so professional & he will be missed around here. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him & all who will miss him. R.I.P. Alex.
