Anneliese Siscoe was welcomed into the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the young age of 96. She resided in Eau Claire, WI.

She was born in 1928 to Wilhelm and Elfriede Seysen in Dusseldorf Rheinland, Germany. Growing up, Anneliese spent a lot of time with her Oma (Grandmother) and Opa (Grandfather) living in the city. She attended grade school through the 8th grade. She then entered the work force as dictated by the government, working in a munition factory underground during World War II. Anneleise saw and experienced a lot in her young life.

She met an American GI after World War II in Germany, and they married. She came to the United States at the age of 31 not knowing any English. If you knew Anneliese, you would know that she was a quick study. Anneliese learned many trades during her years. She worked for a pharmaceutical company, domestically for multiple families, and she did special care for some clients. She lived many of her years on the East Coast and in Florida. She loved to travel, entertain, and swim in the ocean. She moved to Wisconsin in the early 2000’s and lived in Eau Claire.

To know Anneliese was to love her, and she loved hard and possessively right back. She entranced you with her thick German accent. Anneleise loved to know where your family came from, and she would tell you what your name meant in German. She shared many stories throughout the years of “back home”. She was a classy dresser, an excellent cook, and talented baker. Presentation was Anneliese’s specialty. If you ever helped Anneliese in any way, then you were sure to find out how good her infamous zucchini bread is.

Anneliese was a proud patriot. Her American citizenship was very important to her. She remained a patriot until the end, as she requested and turned in an absentee ballot before she passed.

Anneliese met and formed many lifelong relationships where she lived. She always looked forward to her phone calls to and from New York, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Germany. Everyone was important to Anneliese. She will be missed by many special friends, along with those of us who called her family. Each of us learned some life lessons from her and have many memories with her. We’ll always remember her beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, and warm laughter. This is not goodbye, but “see you later”.

Anneliese was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. A private celebration of life and inurnment at Prairie View Cemetery in Chippewa Falls will be held at a later date.
