Obituary For Austin David Larson

Austin David Larson, 27, of Eau Claire passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

In his younger years Austin had a deep passion for the martial arts, earning his second-degree black belt. He built strong bonds at Karate America that he held dear for years to come. Each fall you could catch him at deer camp in the Northwoods, finding peace in nature and comfort in close bonds. As time went on, he grew fond of spending time in the garage with his father working on his late Grandfather’s ’49 Mercury. Austin was always the comedian, keeping smiles on the faces of everyone he met. You could always catch him dancing like a maniac and cracking the goofiest jokes. His presence always lightened the mood. Austin had a heart of gold; he lived fast and loved hard. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Austin was born to Paul Larson and Cimberlee Malmquist on March 24, 1997, in Eau Claire.

Austin is survived by his parents, Cimberlee Malmquist and Paul Larson (Jill); sisters, Stephanie Larson and Amanda Parker; his brother, Michael Bullard; step-brothers, Trevor Kitelinger and Cameron Kitelinger; grandmothers, Beverly Larson and Elenor Johnson; uncles, Tony Larson (Jamie), Clint Wegerer (Tammy), and Curt Wegerer; aunt, Lynda Lavicka; many cousins, nieces and nephews; honorary family, Caleb Rogers, Zack Reed, Matteen Aminpour, and William Hughes

He is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Violet Lang; grandfather, David Larson; grandmother, Virlee Dawson; uncles, Bill Lavicka and Billy Dawson; honorary grandfather, Johnny Miller

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31st, at Spirit Lutheran Church at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Inurnment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery.

There's no one in the world like Austin and no one will ever be able to fill the void he just left. I'm so happy I got to know him and I do believe he's always going to be with us. He knew more about me than anyone, I told him more things in confidence and trusted him more than anyone. I have so many happy, euphoric memories of laughter. Even when him or I were in a negative mood, we always had good conversation. He was such a deep person, and the deep conversations we had about life, struggles, the universe, and love, he made my life worth living. He helped me so much through the years, in simple ways from giving me food or a cigarette, to crazy stuff like setting me up with a job at classic, giving me extremely solid advice, answering my late night phone calls. To those he loved, he was the most generous and caring person you ever met.
