Obituary For Barbara A. Anderson

It is with great love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Barbara A. Anderson, who left us peacefully on February 27th, 2026, at her home in Fall Creek, WI surrounded by her beloved family and closest friends. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Barb was the nucleus of her family and the heart of her friend groups. She filled her 65 years with warmth, laughter, and a vibrant spark for life that touched the hearts of all who were lucky to know her.

Born on February 19th, 1961, in Hudson Falls, NY to Maxine (Krhin) and Dominic Binetti, Barb grew up in the company of many dear cousins, siblings, and loved ones who instilled in her a reverence for family while encouraging her lively spirit and endearing camaraderie. Barb moved to Eau Claire, WI with her family at the age of 14 and began forming deep and abiding friendships that would span her entire life. As a teenager, Barb met her former husband and lifelong friend Todd Krueger. Together they raised two daughters, Katie and Sarah. She nurtured her role as a loving mother and built a legacy centered around the belief that life was meant to be enjoyed together - there was a seat for everyone at Barbie’s table. Her home was a place where each person that entered felt welcomed and cared for. Barb treasured the close friendships she formed with her coworkers at the Eau Claire Public Defender’s Office, where she worked as a legal secretary, as well as the many lasting connections she made over the years working in the hospitality industry.

Barb met her devoted husband, Chad Anderson, in 2013 and they were married in 2021. They had the joy of spending Barb’s final years together at their home in Fall Creek where they hosted unforgettable dinner parties, bonfires, and gatherings. With an innate gift for caretaking, Barb cherished her role as “Grammy” to her three beloved grandchildren, always making sure they felt special and deeply loved in her presence. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barb is survived by her husband Chad Anderson; daughters, Katie (Andrew) Markquart, and Sarah Krueger; grandchildren, Emmy and Cooper Markquart and Luella Larson; siblings, Mary Pat (John) Burns, Tom Binetti, Mike (Jeannie) Binetti, Nancy Binetti, Monica Binetti, and John Binetti; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were made brighter by her presence. She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Binetti; father, Dominic Binetti; sister, Cathy Binetti; sister in-laws, Samantha Binetti and Patricia Binetti; and son in-law Ben Larson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 on March 12th at Smith Funeral Home in Eau Claire, WI with a visitation from 11:00-2:00. A celebration of life will follow at Gizmo’s in Fall Creek.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation. Thank you to the incredible friends and family members who cared for Barb until the end, a profound demonstration of love that brought light to her final days.

From the moment we met Barb, we knew she burned bright with her lust for life and radiant smile! Although we didn't know her long, we know she will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and everyone who had the opportunity to meet her. She will always shine on, "like the moon and the stars and the sun." Love, Jim & Jess Walker

The words about Barb in the obituary SO captured the truth and essence of who Barb was! Wow! It was really beautiful to read. When Barb moved to Eau Claire, she and Monica and I were inseperable! As cousins, our families were always together and then we continued the fun on our own. And then along came Todd and he swept her off her feet. He was and always will be a beloved part of our family. Barb was truly the greatest hostess and ringleader of her family. I was then priviledged to be at her wedding with Chad, a guy we all love. A very solid and caring man that made Barb very happy. Barb will be missed by all of our family. Our hearts especially go out to Chad, Sarah and Katie, her precious grandchildren and and of course our beloved cousins MP, Tommy, Mike, Nancy, Montk, and John. God bless you all. Michelle Couture
