Obituary For Barbara Elaine Morse

Barbara Elaine Morse, 87, of Cleghorn WI, made her journey to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 9th, 2025.

Barbara was the beloved daughter of Albert and Eldora (Olson) LaRock. Born on August 25th, 1938, in Eau Claire WI.

Barbara (Barb), (Barbie), was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on earth was marked by love, compassion and unwavering faith in God and Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, always having a hug for everyone. She had a great love for family.

Barbara married the love of her life, Curtis Lyle Morse on January 24th, 1959. They lived and farmed for many wonderful years south of Eau Claire near Cleghorn. Barbara was a devoted wife and mother. Curtis passed away in 2002, but Barbara stayed on the farm, which she loved, with her dogs until 2023.

Barbara enjoyed her job away from the farm at Sacred Heart Hospital where she had many wonderful and great friends.

She is survived by her loving children, Bryan (Caroline) Morse, Karen (Ed) Veness and Wade (Roxanne) Morse. She also leaves behind her amazing grandchildren, Joseph (Amber), Jacob (Ashley), Kyle (Robert), Amanda (Vinesh), Alexandra and great grandchildren, Dianna Jo, Jack, David and Saavi, many nieces and nephews, which she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Curtis Morse; her father, Albert; her mother, Eldora; her brothers, Gene, Rod and Ab.

Although Barbara’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Your brilliant light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

I worked with Barb at Prange's way back in 1978 when I worked security and business office duties and she worked the busiest register in Prange Way. She always had a smile for her customers and handled THOUSANDS of dollars during the Christmas season with such speed and accuracy. Later we worked at SHH together and Oakleaf Surgical Hospital where she first cleaned like a whirlwind and then later cared for each patient with such compassion as an anesthesia aid. She was respected and loved by all her coworkers. Heaven has gained another living angel.

I will always remember coming to the farm when we were little kids!! We loved coming to see you and Uncle Lyle!! Dad always asked about you when I would talk to him. He thought the world of you and will be happy to see you!! You will both be missed more than words Aunt Barb!!!

We weren't around much (military), but growing up, my mom always took us over to see Aunt Barb, every time we were in town. One time, when I was a kid, she told me about her "silver spoon" that was given to her at the hospital when she was born. She was so happy about it, it made me happy. I don't know why that was so significant, to me, that I remembered it when my kids were born, and my oldest son got one, and even now. But She was always so nice. We will miss you!

Barb was a very nice friend and neighbor. So kind and had a great chuckle. She loved the Lord and now she is at home with him. What a wonderful place to be and with her husband again. She will be missed around Cleghorn.
