Obituaries

Memory of Barry A. Behlke, 03-26-1949 to 10-27-2025, of Chippewa Falls passed away at home with his family on Monday, October 27, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. Barry was 76 yrs old, born to Leo and Gloria (Tafel) Behlke in Eau Claire, Wisconsin; oldest of six children, Ava, Doreen, Hope, Mike and Steve.

Barry married Kerry Monson in 1967 and raised three children. During that time, Barry worked at Presto, Goulds, Badger Ironworks, Land ‘O Lakes and enjoyed his time as a truck driver for C.R. England and All-Ways Trucking.

Barry was an outdoors-man who loved time with family water-skiing, and trips to Wyoming Oregon, Montana, and the coast. He also had a great time in the outdoors sports, playing pool and casino trips with his best friend Bruce Semingson.

He is survived by his children, Jody (Ben) Prochnow, Joel (Arlene) Behlke, and Jan Behlke; grandchildren, Danielle (Matt) Meier, Justin, Kinsley, and Camden Behlke & Great-Grandchild Hunter Strong. Barry’s passing followed his parents, Leo and Gloria & siblings Ava and Steve.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Mayo Clinic, Luther Hospital, Dr. Al-Hattab, Dr. Kauppila, St Croix Hospice (Gwen), and Smith Funeral Chapel. He will be sadly missed. Thank you for your love, kindness and sympathy. Blessings to you all.
