Obituaries

Betty Williams, 83, of Stanley, WI, died August 21, 2024, at Marshfield Hospital.

She was born September 11, 1940, the daughter of Richard and Nathail (Dolly) Gorsegner in Gilman, WI.

During high school she met the love of her life while roller skating. Betty graduated from Gilman High School in 1959 and married LaValle Williams on June 13, 1959.

She is survived by her brother, Willis Gorsegner and Barry Gorsegner; her children, Alan and Anna Williams of Franklin, NH, Gary and Jeanne Williams of Stanley, WI, Tammy and Lester Larson of Eau Claire, WI, and Kathy and Ken Atnip of Menomonie, WI; her grandchildren, Jesse, Renee, Jennifer, Nicholas, Greg, and Brad; her great-grandchildren, Evalynn and Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her husband, LaValle and her brother, Robert Gorsegner.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 28th at 1:00pm at Eidsvold Cemetery in the Township of Thorp. There will be a celebration of life to follow the burial at the Family Community Center in Chapman Park until 4 pm.
