Obituary For Debbie Alene Wilcox

Debbie Alene Wilcox, 67, of Rice Lake passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024.

Debbie was born to Earl and Emma (Stokes) Swanson on September 2, 1956, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. She is survived by her daughter, Gwyndelyn (Charlie) Bell; her son; Lucas (Kristine) Wilcox; grandchildren Brooklyn, Jase and Jayden; Sister, Shirley (Gary) Skerhutt; Brother, Gary (Barb) Swanson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Emma Swanson and nephew Kevin Swanson.

Debbie graduated from Chetek High School and later received her Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Debbie loved her children and grandchildren and looked forward to every visit. Debbie spent time at home with her beloved dachshund Monte and treasured her visits with her many friends. Debbie enjoyed all things crafts and sewing. One of Debbie's proudest achievements was being owner and operator of her own craft/consignment store, Country Knits and Gifts in Chetek, WI. She was generous with her homemade gifts and many of us have treasured “made with love” items to remember her by.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2024, at 11am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Colfax, WI. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will be served by the ladies of St John's church directly after the service.

In lieu of flowers or plants, please consider making a donation in Debbie's name to the Barron County Humane Society.
