Obituary For Deloris Ann Anderson

Deloris Ann Anderson, 87, of Stanley passed away at her home with her family by her side on Thursday, January 2nd, after a courageous 7-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Deloris was born the youngest of 5 children to Homer & Anna Anderson on May 21, 1937. She was raised south of Stanley. She married Alvin Radtke on December 15, 1952, four children resulted from that marriage. They later divorced in 1968. God and family were very important to Deloris. She raised her family alone, while also buying the Radtke Family Homestead on Hamilton Falls Road in Stanley. While working a full-time job as a sole provider of her family, her perseverance and strong Christian values were never more evident. Deloris loved family, was an excellent cook and baker, a quilter, and had a green thumb. Her plants, yard, and garden were the envy of many. Deloris worked over 30 years at Northern Center in Chippewa Falls. She loved her job, but said her best job was retirement. In October of 2002, Deloris was reunited with a schoolmate, Robert Bigelow. Robert and Deloris traveled extensively. They were proud winter Texans for over 20 years. Deloris said those were the best years of her life. On July 17, 2020, Robert passed away. Deloris was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2018. She battled that to the end; she spent the last 21 months under the excellent care of Mayo Hospice. At 12:44 January 2nd, Deloris took her last breath with family at her side, at that time Heaven welcomed a bright beautiful spirit.

Deloris is survived by her son, Gary & Deanne Radtke; daughter, Lori Halling; daughter, Cheryl & Dan Meyer; 6 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Deloris was preceded in death by her soulmate, Robert; sons, Daniel and Jeffery; siblings, Homer, Don, George, and Peggy.

The family wishes to thank Mayo Hospice for the excellent care given to Deloris. A memorial service will be held at Maple Grove Bible Church in Stanly on January 18th at 11:00 am. There will be a lunch to follow.
