I had the privilege of going to college with Diosa. She truly had a sweet and loving spirit. I hadn't seen her since college so I was very sad to hear this. However I was very glad to hear she was able to do meaningful work in the community since graduating. Losing her light in this world is a huge loss to so many. I pray for her family to find peace over time, knowing Diosa made a difference in this world. - Jessica (Krause) Smith

Diosa Marie was a wonderful woman. I went to middle school and high school with her in Bruce. She was a very gentle and soft soul. She stuck to her values and virtues that she kept close to her heart. The world is missing her bright smile. My deepest condolences and sympathies to her family and all her friends that will continue to miss her light!

We graduated with Diosa from Bruce High School in 2008. She was such a kind and positive person - she was always willing to help someone who needed it. While we didn't keep in touch much after high school, we saw her positive posts on FaceBook often. She really was such a wonderful person. We're so sad to hear about her passing. Her family are also wonderful and we're sending comforting thoughts and prayers to them. We're so sorry for your loss. -Michaela and Tyler Anderson

Diosa Marie was one of the most positive and selfless people I have ever met. She came to me as a tenant in our apartments and was such a lovely young woman, always so appreciative for anything we helped her with. I loved her and thought of her as one of my own children and told her that many times. She has left a huge hole in my heart, I will never forget her sweet smile and soft voice. Rest easy sweet baby girl, Annie
