Obituary For Diosa Marie Sicat Withington

Diosa Marie Sicat Withington, 33, of Eau Claire passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her home.

Diosa Marie was born on June 1, 1990, to Charles and Diosa (Sicat) Withington while stationed in Japan. She lived her first years in Japan before moving back to the United States. She attended school in Bruce, WI from K-12 and graduated in 2008. She enjoyed spending her childhood playing outdoors with her brothers, sledding, ice skating and skiing during the winters. She later attended college at UWEC and majored in social work. She graduated from college with honors, Summa Cum Laude. She went on to work as a social worker and did a great deal of volunteer work in the community. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially shopping with her mother. She had a sweet, helping heart and will never be forgotten.

Diosa Marie is survived by her father, Charles Withington; Mother Diosa Withington; brothers, Charles Jose Withington and Joshua David Withington

Diosa Marie was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Jose and Paula Sicat; and Grandfather James Leonard Withington

The funeral service will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.

I had the privilege of going to college with Diosa. She truly had a sweet and loving spirit. I hadn't seen her since college so I was very sad to hear this. However I was very glad to hear she was able to do meaningful work in the community since graduating. Losing her light in this world is a huge loss to so many. Diosa Marie was a wonderful woman. I went to middle school and high school with her in Bruce. She was a very gentle and soft soul. She stuck to her values and virtues that she kept close to her heart. The world is missing her bright smile. My deepest condolences and sympathies to her family and all her friends that will continue to miss her light!

We graduated with Diosa from Bruce High School in 2008. She was such a kind and positive person - she was always willing to help someone who needed it. While we didn't keep in touch much after high school, we saw her positive posts on FaceBook often. She really was such a wonderful person. We're so sad to hear about her passing. Diosa Marie was one of the most positive and selfless people I have ever met. She came to me as a tenant in our apartments and was such a lovely young woman, always so appreciative for anything we helped her with. I loved her and thought of her as one of my own children and told her that many times. She has left a huge hole in my heart, I will never forget her sweet smile and soft voice. My name is bri Johnson and we were fast friends it felt like we knew her longer than we did she lived at my apartment building we would hang out a couple times a month Taylor and I and dee (her nickname that she said we could call her) would have hot chocolate and share a conversation and sometimes eat together as well she was full of giggles and jokes we will miss her and she will always be in our hearts and minds
