Obituary For James David Husby

James (Jim) Husby lived his life in the way he taught his children to live theirs: with passion, dedication, loyalty, and a commitment to working hard, playing hard, and doing all things with love. Jim exemplified exuberance; throughout his life, every role he held overflowed with that spirit. He was a farmer’s son, champion football player, National Guardsman, sports team manager and referee, accomplished lineman and foreman, and a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, friend, and more.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary; his first wife, Gretchen; sister-in-law, Joy Cassidy; and eight of his ten siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his brothers, Vaughn (Janet) and Mick (Ann); brother-in-law, Donald (Janet) Moser; his children, Mary (George), David, Robin (David), Jamie/Charlie (Patrick), Jennifer, Melissa (David), and John; along with many grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, great‑great‑grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

We would like to invite family and friends that are unable to attend Jame's Service, to join us virtually by clicking the link below.

I was Jim's dental hygienist for over 30yrs! He would usually come in after his morning walk and we would catch up on local sports/Packers/Brewers! He was such a pleasant and kind man! I always looked forward to seeing him! Rest in peace Jim 🙏🏼 I will miss you! ~ Rosalyn

I met Jim in the early 80's through his son David who has been my long time friend. Jim enjoyed deer hunting and for many years he was my hunting partner in Augusta on the Don Gaede property. I am blessed to know several of the family members over the years and my condolences are for all. Jeff Kobinsky
