Joan Ione Jarvis (Kruger), 80 of Eau Claire, WI passed in the arms of family on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, in Eau Claire, WI.

Joan was born on March 28, 1944, to Glen and Alice (Christopherson) Kruger in Eau Claire, WI.

She met her former husband, Eugene Jarvis while her family vacationed at their property on Island Lake in Rusk County, WI. They were married for thirty years, and they lived and raised their family in Eau Claire, WI. Joan stayed at home and raised their children for many years. She later worked several years doing housekeeping for local hotels.

Joan enjoyed family road trips, crocheting, cooking, playing cards and bingo and going to the casino. She loved to be with family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Connie (Kory) Kastel from San Antonio, TX, Christine (Joe) Tschumperlin from Beaver Dam, WI, and Cari (Joe) Schuch from Fall Creek, WI; brother, Allen (Helen) Kruger; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Kruger; grandchildren; Kyle, Brittany and Ryan Kastel, Eric and Luke Tschumperlin, Amanda Hintz, (Bignell), Cody Schuch, Austin (Nivaya) Jarvis, Anna Jarvis; great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Hintz; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carleen Bignell; son, Steven Jarvis; parents, Glen and Alice (Christopherson) Kruger; siblings, Irma (Mueller) Wright and Jerry Kruger; brother-in-law, LaVerne Wright; grandson, Justin Hamilton (Bignell); and former husband, Eugene Jarvis.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Concordia Lutheran Church at 3715 London Rd., Eau Claire, WI, with a visitation for one hour prior to the service. Pastor, Paul Webber will be officiating. Following the services, Joan’s final resting place will be next to her parents at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.

The family would like to thank the family and friends that helped their mother throughout the years.
