Watching you grow up into such a beautiful young lady who always kept people on their toes, was a blessing, and then watching you with your babies, and all the love you always made sure they got, was such a comforting feeling. We sure are going to miss you and all your spunk. Love you, my baby girl.

Sometimes when one or both of us were going through a hard time, we'd come to each other and we couldn't always find the words to say so we'd just tell each other "I love you. " That's where I'm at. I don't have the words to say because I'm not processing this as a real life event. But.. I love you. 🥺

There was a time Keeter was throwing fire pops at me while I was going down the hill next to her house on Sandy Hill. I think about that often. I'm going to miss you so much Keeter, I wish you would've had it better. I love you.

Dear Makeisha, I wanted to thank you for being there for me back at ECA. I was in a rough spot in my life but you always cheered me up. I find peace in knowing you are no longer in pain but I mourn for you. Thank you for giving me the chance to know you ❤️

Makeisha was an RCA in a youth facility I attended as a teen. The impact she made on me and many other young girls has followed us into adulthood. She was one of the first women to give many of us girls hope for our future. I will never forget the empathy and compassion she showed us. She has positively impacted SO many lives. Sending hugs to her boys, her partner, and her family.
