Obituary For Mark R. Anderson

Mark R. Anderson 73, of Eau Claire, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, peacefully at Dove Health Care.

He was born on June 30, 1950, to Lyman and Marion (Ruthven) Anderson. Mark graduated from Memorial High School. Mark traveled the United States making and designing neon signs for businesses. In his travels he collected and sold unique antiques. Mark especially enjoyed Hollywood memorabilia.

He enjoyed life to the fullest and was very generous in giving unconditional love to family and friends. Mark was a happy-go-lucky person who loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed being by the water and especially laying on the “rock” by the Cornell damn and playing the lottery.

Mark is survived by three children; Corie Loomis (Steve Zurek) and their children Derek, Kayla, and Tyler; Chad (Robin) Anderson and their children Brianna, Bryce, and Brennen; Curtiss (Traci) Anderson and their children Andrew, Devyn, and Ashlyn; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Michael Anderson; two sisters, Marsha Proulx, MaryAnn Cartman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents, Lyman and Marion Anderson; grandson, Jordan Anderson; special friend, Kari Garl; in-laws, Rita Anderson, Charlie Proulx, and Lynn Cartman.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024, at Smith Funeral Chapel at 6:00pm with a visitation starting at 4:00pm. Pastor Becca Holland will be officiating the service. Burial to be held at Lakeview Cemetery.

    Mark you will be missed, you were a great friend even though I met you later in life. I am sure in our younger days we could have gotten into a lot of trouble. You will be missed. Thinking of you and your family in this time of sorrow.

    We always enjoyed our visits with Mark over the years. He had such great personality! An interesting man that cared for his family and friends very much, and he will be missed by all. RIP Mark! It was our pleasure to have known you! Bob & Sue Heckendorf
