Matthew Ernest Meinholz, 82, of Eau Claire (Brunswick Township) passed away Tuesday, August 8th, 2023, at home.

Matthew was born to Mathias and Mary (Kneer) Meinholz on March 7th, 1941, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He graduated from Regis.

In life Matt enjoyed driving around the countryside looking at the deer and other wildlife. At one point in his life, he volunteered to bring groceries to those who were unable go out to get them. He was a devoted father and enjoyed going to auctions. His sense of humor never faltered and was cracking jokes to the last minute. He worked hard in life with 32 years at Pine Hill Pet Care Center and showing dogs.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Corinne (Blake) Meinholz; son, Odin Meinholz; sisters, Carol (Tom) Grant, Susan (Meinholz) Lanigan; niece, Angie (Theis) (Dave) Otto; nephew, Mike (Nicole) McEvoy; great-nephews, Issac Theis and Nathan Theis; great-niece, Stella McEvoy.

Matthew is preceded in death by his parents, Mathias Meinholz and Mary (Kneer) Meinholz, and his previous wife Anna (Utegaard) Meinholz.
