Roger Allen Goss, 76, of Chippewa Falls passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, surrounded by family at Vita Care in Bloomer.

Roger was born to Glen and Elnora (Tollefson) Goss on November 24, 1947, in Mondovi, WI. He was united in marriage to Judylynn Voss June 8, 1968, and had two sons, Ken and Chad. He graduated from Mondovi High and later Chippewa Valley Tech College in Eau Claire, WI. Roger worked at Presto Credit Union, Northwest Enterprises, Minn Blue and Digicopy all of Eau Claire, WI. He was a lifelong Wisconsin resident and enjoyed many hobbies such as camping and fishing with mostly friends and family in Chetek, Wi and later in Augusta, WI. Roger’s other hobbies were stamp and rock collecting. He was a member of the Chippewa Valley Gem and Mineral society which he enjoyed with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, WI. Roger really enjoyed helping out on Wednesday night with the meals. He was a great father, uncle, and friend to many, and was always willing to help family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Roger is survived by his wife,Judy; brothers, Gale (Judy) Goss and John Goss; his sons, Ken (Tammy) Goss and Chad (Michelle) Goss; and fur child Patches; grandchildren, Elena (Chris), Jesse (Liz), Beth (Allen), David, Brittany (Aaron), Richard, Stephanie, Makaylynn; great-grandchildren, Sahmiyah, Christopher, Elijah, Nora, Adrian, Max, Alex, Aiden, Ryder, Tegan, Everly, and Chad; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and grand nephew, Jeremy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24 at 12:00 pm at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, WI. A visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. A lunch will follow the service.

It was Roger’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to your favorite charity.
