Sharon Rose Bertrang, of Altoona, WI, passed away on August 25, 2023, with her wife Donna and her niece Brenda at her side.

Sharon was born July 21, 1946, in Fairchild, WI to Fredrick and Mildred Johanna (Stanley) Bertrang Sr.

Sharon graduated on May 26, 1964, from Fairchild High school. She worked as a cook at The Crossroads Café and Kopps Steak House before she joined the Navy.

Upon completion of training, Sharon was stationed at the Navel Air Base in Norfolk, VA until an injury ended her military career. Sharon then drove semi until her retirement.

Sharon enjoyed softball, fishing, computer games, and putting together puzzles with Donna.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Ralph Eugene Krowlek, Fredrick Walter Jr., Larry Duane, Gordon Ray, and Norman Howard Bertrang; two sisters, Betty Neila Walker-Johnson and Donna Arlene Jackson.

Sharon is survived by her wife, Donna; niece, Brenda Bertrang; brother-in-laws, Wally (Anne) Mooney and Archie Mooney; nieces; nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A private burial will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI. Friends and family are welcome to leave online condolences below.
