Jeffrey D. Rude

Jeffrey D. Rude, 66 of Eau Claire passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Jeffrey was born to Roy and Mae (Volden) Rude on February 21, 1952 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Sheila Sires on March 5, 1977 at Christ Church Cathedral in Eau Claire. Jeffrey enlisted on February 3, 1972 and was on the U.S.S. Anchorage until 1976. He was a very caring man who always told jokes. He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Jeffrey loved NASCAR and was a great friend to anyone who knew him.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife Sheila Rude; children: Sean, Mike, and Heather Rude along with fur baby, Bella; grandchildren: Fiona, Rylie, Felix, and Donovan; siblings: Dianne Lavenburg, Sandy (Dave) Lenox, Patricia (Nevin) Van Antwerpen, Rebecca (Dennis) Nerison, and Rhonda (Richard) Wemette; and sister-in-law Sandra (Robert) Martin. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, and brothers-in-law Dave Lavenburg and Todd Fiebrink.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Post 7232 (2900 W. Folsom Street) on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.
