John J. Daniels, age 56, of Eleva passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.
He was born on July 11, 1961 in Eau Claire, the son of John “Jack” A. and Sandra (Thalacker) Daniels. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1980. In 1981, he married Janet Comero. They had 3 children and later divorced in 2003.
Throughout his lifetime, he worked for various farms and was a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed helping family and friends with handyman projects, working on cars, weekly visits with his parents and siblings, and spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his children, Jodi (Dustin) Peterson of Eau Claire, Jamie Daniels of Waunakee, and Jeff Daniels of Eleva; granddaughters, Maddie Peterson and Stella Daniels; mother, Sandra Daniels; siblings, Carol Daniels of Elk Mound and Scott Daniels of Eau Claire.
He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father John “Jack” A. Daniels; sister Judith Falch; grandparents Ewald and Minnie (Giles) Thalacker and Byron and Madelyn (Beckwith) Daniels.
Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 25th, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm.
