Kathleen “Kathy” Sue Jochum, 60, of Fall Creek passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at home.
Kathy was born on July 4, 1955 to Richard and Dorothy (Mooney) Allee in Inglewood, California. On August 3, 1973, Kathy married the love of her life, Steve “Mike” Jochum. Kathy gave birth to two daughters, Jenni & Ashley, and was Mom to countless others over the years. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, God-mother, Grandma, and friend. Kathy had an amazing work ethic and was always a dedicated employee at whatever job she held. Most recently she worked as head cook for Roosevelt Elementary school.
Kathy spent her life taking care of those she loved. She loved unconditionally and with her whole heart. She was a wonderful listener and had a sharp sense of humor. She had an uncanny way of always knowing when something was wrong and when you needed her most. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow. No words could ever adequately describe how important her family was to her or how much she loved each and every one of us. She was the epitome of what a wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and aunt should and could be. We are all so very lucky to have been loved by her.
While her physical being may no longer be with us, she will live on in every life she was a part of. We will honor her by continuing to love, support, and cherish one another.
Kathy is survived by her adoring husband of 42 years, Steve “Mike” Jochum, two daughters Jenni and Ashley (Troy Clement) Jochum, her mother Dorothy (Mooney) Allee, sister Sharon Hammond, brothers Tom (Patty) Allee, Mark Allee, half-sister Peggy Molleur, half-brother Ronnie Allee, and grandchildren Madelyn and Masen Clement. Brothers and sisters-in-law – Bill & Annette Jochum, Bob Jochum, Tom & Cathy Jochum, Tim & Mollie Jochum, Mary Rader, Terri Schultz, Sam & Rob Reinhold, Deb & Mark Seidling, Cyndi Zurek, Pam Jones, Doug Zurek and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father Richard Allee, father-in-law Alton Jochum, mother-in-law Delores Jochum, and brother-in-law Rodney Rader, and her loyal dogs – Snook, KC, Diezel, and her special four-legged son, Ozzy.
The Jochum family would like to thank the First responders, Fall Creek Police Department, and the paramedics for their kindness and assistance.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 1st, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel with officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00PM – 3:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Deepest sympathies to your family for your loss. I worked with Kathy for many years at ShopKo. She was always a pleasure to work with. She will be missed by many.
This is very sad at the shocking passing of such a special, wonderful person. I’m her brothers Mark’s roommate and I’m glad to have known her for the time I did. She always seemed to be a caring person. She was a hard worker and will be very much missed by all the people who knew her.
Ashley-I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. Thinking of you.
