Sheri D. Mattison, age 71 of Eau Claire passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
Sheri was born August 27, 1947 in Eau Claire to Edith and Emil Han. She was united in marriage to Daile Mattison on August 14, 1965. Sheri was a very dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker her whole life. She worked side by side with her husband, whether it was raking leaves or shoveling snow. Her passion was gardening, everything from flowers to vegetables. Sheri was famous in the neighborhood for growing her 12-foot tall sunflowers! She loved going to the casino to play the slot machines always hoping to win big!
Sheri was the type of person who always was trying to make her family happy such as: helping to drag a deer out of the woods during hunting season or making lefsa at Christmas time and having her daughters eat it as fast as she made it.
Sheri was a very thoughtful and giving person to her family and many close friends. She was always giving advice and was a good listener. If anyone needed to vent, they went to her. Sheri will be deeply missed by her family and never forgotten!
Sheri is survived by her husband Daile; daughters: Michelle (Mark) Brown and Melonie (Todd) Lee; and grandson Josh Proulx.
A private family gathering was done with immediate family. There is no funeral service planned. She wanted things to be kept simple. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.smithfuneralec.com.
