William (Bill) Joseph Cleveland, age 74, of Eau Claire, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Milestone Senior Living. He was born on January 11, 1949 to Joseph and Florence (Bailey) Cleveland in Phillipsburg, Pennsylvania.
Bill graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1967 in Pennsylvania. He attended Warren County Community College where he attained an Associate Degree in Accounting.
Bill worked in a variety of jobs over the years. In Texas he worked as a Manager of Dairy Queen, Water and Sewer for the Department of Public Works, a school bus driver and mechanic in Duncanville School District, oil change technician, lawnmower repairman, truck driver, community service van driver, and golf course handyman.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially his grandchildren who were very special. Bill also enjoyed camping, cross-country trips across the eastern half of the US, and playing cards with friends was always a great time for him. Over the last few years he had fun playing Bingo at Milestone where he resided.
Bill is survived by his sons, William (Heather) Cleveland Jr. of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Michael (Adrienne) Cleveland of Eau Claire; his grandchildren, Chris (Catherine (Katie) Sullivan, Kiana Cleveland, Alexandria Snittler-Cleveland, and Dalton Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Ariany, Lucas, and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Florence; father, Joseph; sisters, Joyce Cleveland, Joan Mesyna, and Rebecca (Jack) Bachman.
His son, Michael will be having a celebration of life at VFW Post 305, 1300 Starr Avenue in Eau Claire, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023. Burial will be in New Jersey at a later date.
