The people of Smith
A family-owned funeral home means the people who own it are the people who serve you. These are the names behind ours.
William & Agnes Smith
William and Agnes Smith founded Smith Funeral Chapel in 1956. Agnes' name still greets families every day — our gathering space, Agnes' Dining Hall, is named for her, because feeding people is part of caring for them.
The Smith family, third generation
The chapel is now in its third generation of family ownership. Ownership here is not a name on a corporate chart — the family is in this building every day, and when something matters, they are the ones you talk to.
Eliza Smith & Arnie
Eliza and Arnie are Smith's preplanning team — the two people who will sit down with you to record your wishes and, if you wish, fund them ahead. Arnie has been at this work a long time and is teaching Eliza the ropes. Meet them on the Preplanning page →
The voice on the phone
When you call at 2 in the morning, you get us — not a call center, not a corporation. The people who answer are the people who will care for your family, start to finish, under this roof.
