Emerald K. DeBoer, 96, of Eau Claire passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Emerald was born on July 19, 1925, to Conrad and Anna (Ose) Opland in Minnesota. She married Hubert DeBoer on August 31, 1947. They were blessed with three girls, Ann, Lori, and Sandy. Emerald was involved in the ministry with her husband for over 50 years.
Emerald was survived by her daughters, Ann (Mike) Scherf and Lori (Ron) Lee; grandchildren, Nathan (Tanya) Scherf and Trevor Jost; great-grandchildren, Annaka Scherf and Delaney Scherf; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Emerald was preceded in death by husband, Hubert; daughter, Sandy DeBoer; and granddaughter, Hayley Jost.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Saving Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Doran officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
