Florence J. Schwingle, 93 of Menomonie passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie.
Florence was born on April 25, 1923 to Floyd and Mabel (Johnson) Seifert in Pepin, Wisconsin. She enjoyed crafts, writing poems, playing guitar, baking, and sewing. Florence loved to go camping with her husband, Homer. Florence will always be remembered by the smile on her face.
Florence is survived by her six children, Donita (Tom) Lerum, Beverly Seifert, Ron (Ronda) Hogan, Linda (Dave) Larson, Teresa Hogan, and Jeff (Sally) Hogan; ten stepchildren, Diann Jackson (Dave Maroney), Richard (Gail) Schwingle, Cathy (Larry) Lipki, Linda (Jerry) Wildenberg, Bonnie Kay (Jerry) LaGesse, Daniel (Starla) Schwingle, Ann Story (Dayle Claflin) Connie (Randy) Bender, Randy (Lisa) Schwingle, and Debbie Eckstrom; numerous grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Lamon; her husband, Delbert Hogan; husband, Homer Schwingle; one step-son, Patrick Schwingle; one step-grandson, Bob “BJ” Jackson; one sister; and four brothers.
Memorial services will be Monday, October 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor Robert Hoekstra officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will be at 3:15 pm on Monday at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin.
