Judith A. Thompson, 69 of Eau Claire passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems-Eau Claire.
Judy was born on August 25, 1947 to George and Phyllis (Johnston) Mars in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Judy was raised by her grandparents Bert and Anna Mars. She graduated in 1966 from Elk Mound High School. Judy married Lawrence Thompson on January 23, 1971 at St. James the Greater in Eau Claire. Judy worked as a part-time secretary at Mt. Washington Assisted Living in Eau Claire. She was a member of Disabled Veterans of America in Menomonie, WI.
Judy is survived by her husband, Lawrence Thompson; sister, Susan (Bill) Exterovich; brother, John (Marilyn) Mars, and Mike (Pam) Mars; many nieces and nephews, including special niece, Katie Mars and nephew, Larry Mars; cousin, Linda McClelland, as well as other cousins.
Judy was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; special aunt, Vivian; as well as other relatives.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow the visitation at Lakeview Cemetery.
I am so sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. For many years she was my best friend. I will miss her.
