CAREY, LeRoy John, 76, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in Riverview, FL.

LeRoy was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin and moved to Riverview, FL from Baldwin, WI in 2005. LeRoy was of strong Christian faith, very proud of his Ojibwa heritage and a hard worker, who also loved his family and enjoyed attending auto races across the United States.

He was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy G. Carey; mother, Angeline (Steies) Carey; brothers, Gerald, Joseph and Wayne; and grandchildren, Hailey and Gabriel.

LeRoy is survived by two sons, Randy and Alan (Jackie) Carey; two daughters, Dawn (Kenny) Noll and Tami (Keith) Carey; three brothers, Eugene (Judy) Carey, Michael (Sue) Carey, best friend and brother Patrick Carey and ; three sisters, Margaret (Emery) Johnson, Phyllis (Eugene) Marte and Roxanne Carey, sister in laws Karen (Jerry), Myrna (Joe), Dorella (Wayne); eight grandchildren, Andrew (Kristin) Noll, Sara (Dana) Martin, Jesse (Janelle) Carey, Matthew Noll, Emily (Eric) Evans, Kelsey (Dan) Barnes, Abbey (Ty) Kurtz, Lily and Ryker Carey; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016 at Smith Funeral Chapel from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.

  1. LeRoy and I were friends throughout high school. He was born into a large family, that was the most loving caring family I knew back when I was 13-16. RIP my brother in the arms of our Heavenly Father.
