Lois H. Fenske, 88, of Eau Claire passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Care Partners in Eau Claire after years of suffering with Alzheimers.

Lois was born in the Town of Washington on September 27, 1928 to William and Helen (Schilling) Schreiber.

Lois is survived by her children, Michael (Jeniene) Fenske of Eau Claire; Karen Schauer of Eau Claire; and Robert (Hope) Fenske of Portage, WI; grandchildren, Michael “Tony” (Lisa) Fenske, Michelle Shepler, Marty Shepler, Mark (Jennifer) Shepler, Mary (Todd) Rettke, Holly Fenske, and Alyssa (William) Barker; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Madison, Justin, Garrett, Carolyn, Jonathon, Olina, and Adeline; sister-in-law, Joan (Ed) Schanen, sister-in-law, Joyce Schreiber; as well as many other relatives.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman Fenske, of 69 years, who died on June 6, 2016; infant daughter, Kimberly; brother Warren Schreiber; sister and brother-in-law Esther and Al Kunz; and son-in-law Hollis Schauer.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff and family of Care Partners Memory Care and the St. Croix Hospice team, for their excellent care of mother during her Alzheimer illness.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
