Lonna L. Timm, 54 of Eau Claire died on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her home.

Lonna was born on February 17, 1962 to Milo and Virginia (Morrison) Timm in Eau Claire. Lonna graduated from North High School in 1980. In 1985, she graduated from CVTC with a degree as an Account Clerk-Date Entry Specialist. Lonna was a country girl who liked to live a simple life. She loved to garden, go camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed spending time around the bonfire with her nephew Brian the summer she lived in Knapp. Lonna loved nature and her dog, Miss Wiggles. She was an avid follower of the Packers and NASCAR, especially Matt Kenseth. She also liked her music, particularly the blues.

All who knew Lonna knew she had the biggest heart and would help someone out whenever she could. Her friends meant a lot to her. She would have a meal at Thanksgiving and would invite anyone who wanted to come. Lonna also loved her family and would tell them often, which they will miss hearing. She believed in God and what he had planned for her.

Lonna is survived by her sister, Melanie (Gary) Peterson of Knapp, WI; brother, Ron (Amy) Timm of Minnetonka, MN; four nephews, Brian Peterson of Knapp, WI, Danny Peterson of Menomonie, WI, Greg (Amy) Peterson of Knapp, WI, Scott Peterson (Dani O’Dae) of Knapp, WI; great-nieces, Caleigha Scoville and Scarlett Peterson; great-nephews, Marshall Peterson and Clyde Peterson; good friends, Jeff Corwin of Eau Claire and Dave “Hippo” Husby of Eau Claire, and Greg Fox of Eau Claire; and her beloved dog, Miss Wiggles.

Lonna was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Virginia Timm; her brother, Bradley Timm; and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that money be given to her beloved dog, Miss Wiggles for her medical needs.

Memorial services will be on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 11:00 am at Smith Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

  3. So very sorry hear of Lonna’s passing. I remember her as a quiet, witty gal in high school. Wish I would have kept in touch – she sounds like a person I would have been honored to call my friend.

  4. It has been many years since I moved from Eau Claire. I lived on Vine Ct. and remember playing with Lonna (and Brad) as a child. I am sorry to here of her untimely passing. Rest in Peace Lonna,
