Richard “Rick” L. Badman, 70 of Eau Claire passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Rick was born to Lyle and Dolores (Omodth) Badman on April 25, 1944 and raised in the Lake Hallie Chippewa Falls area. Following graduation from Chippewa Falls High School in 1962, Rick worked and retired from Cascades Tissue after 40 years of service. Rick and Bonnie were married on February 14,, 1982.
Rick loved the outdoors including fishing, gardening, camping and snowmobiling. Rick was as known as an excellent handyman and a “jack of all trades.”
Rick is survived by his wife, Bonnie; his children, Yvette (Mike Swartz) Siddons and Carrie (Tony) Nicolai; stepchildren, Scott Kinderman and Becky Glenz; six grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Sinette, Amanda (Casey) Westberg, Cheyanne Glenz, Christopher Glenz, Tony Jr. Nicolai, and Brandi Nicolai; “Papa” to four great grandchildren, Lillian Sinette, Ethan Sinette, Riley and Evan Westberg; and one very special cousin, Shelby Blomberg.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents.
Our special thanks to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Sacred Heart Hospital for their love and kindness to Rick and his family, Dr. McDonald, Dr. Kluge, Dr. Sabbagh and their staff and Pastor David for all his prayers. He will be missed by all his loved ones, neighbors and friends.
Per Rick’s wishes there will be no services. A graveside family gathering will be held at a later date.
