April Darlene (Covington) Shaw, 59, of Eau Claire, WI passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire.
April was born to David Earl Covington I and Nancy Idell Hendricks on April 10, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky. She grew up in the town of Tifton and was the middle child of 6 children. She was known for her love for God, her caring personality, contagious laugh, and infectious smile.
In 1984, April married the love of her life Wilbert “Bill” Allen Shaw, and shared 39 years in marriage, raising their three children Mandy, Bryan, and Ramona. April will always be remembered as a truly loving mother, God fearing woman, and someone that you could always count on.
April is survived by her children, April Amanda Jones, Bryan Allen Shaw, Ramona Idell (Adam) Sullivan; her siblings, Gigi Idell (Rick) Schreck, Ramona (John) Bennett, Penny (Gordon) Womble, Constance Covington Booth, David Earl (Sarah) Covington II; her grandchildren, Lauralee Jones, Mason Sullivan, Willow Jane Idell Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Brantley Gray, and Kashton Bridges.
April was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill; her parents, Nancy, and David; and grandchild, Kennedy Gray.

April’s inurnment will be at a later date at Inaha Cemetery, in Turner County, Georgia.
