Arlene M. Nelson, 88 of Pleasant Valley, formerly of Eau Claire, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her home.
Arlene was born to Raymond and Bernice (Decker) Kloss on November 6, 1929 in Eau Claire. She enjoyed knitting, especially washcloths. Arlene loved to bake and write in her diary daily. She was a very good homemaker and always kept a tidy home. In her mid-years, Arlene enjoyed working at Hallmark, where she was able to talk to many people. Arlene loved her dog, Brandy.
Arlene is survived by her son and caregiver, Brad Nelson of Pleasant Valley; grandchildren: Scott (Rena) Kaiser of Merrill, Holly (Allen) Cortright of Merrill, Carrie (Shane) Guralski of Athens, Jessica (Joey) Gay of Canton, Georgia, Matt Rood of Eau Claire, Tammy Kaiser of Merrill, Peter (Sonya) Nelson of Acworth, Georgia, Katie (Andrew) Ross of Woodstock, Georgia, and Amanda (Victor) Robl of Merrill. Arlene is further survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Nelson; daughters Jackie Kaiser and Cindy Rood; brothers Junior Kloss and James Kloss.
Funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Chapel on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and from 10:00 am until the service on Saturday.
